Nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura now claims that the Sunday clash between Nominated MP Maina Kamanda and his Kiharu counterpart Ndindi Nyoro was planned beforehand.
This was after the two clashed over protocol during a fundraiser at a Catholic church in Kiharu, with each leader insisting that he should take charge of the function.
Mwaura now claims that Kamanda might have achieved his intention as he was planning for such, claiming that he was with him when he planned to attack Nyoro.
"I was there when Maina Kamanda was planning to attack Ndindi Nyoro," he said on NTV's AM Live show on Monday morning.
However, he condemned the incident, saying that it points at intolerance, terming it an act of abomination when people turn a house of prayer into a fighting arena.
"This height of intolerance where people go to fight in a church is an abomination. You can have a situation where people go to make the church the theatre of the absurd, fighting and pushing over microphones. We must condemn it," he added.
Nyoro is a staunch supporter of DP Ruto - under team Tanga Tanga - while Kamanda and team are considered anti-Ruto supporters under team Kieleweke.
The two groups have been attacking each other over their split support for President Uhuru Kenyatta and DP Ruto.
