The decision of an Australian Court to jail Former KTN Journalist Esther Arunga on parole has not augured well with her mother-in-law, Rosemeg Wambitta.
According to Wambitta, who has maintained that her son, Quincy Timberlake, is innocent, Arunga deserves to be jailed.
She said that she is disappointed with the manner in which the son’s murder case has been handled, and she wants justice with immediate effect.
Arunga walked scot-free on Thursday after she convicted in the murder case of her three-year-old son in 2014.
The presiding judge Martin Burns handed her a 10-month prison term. She immediately late free and given conditions by the court. The mother-in-law has openly said she has no reason to celebrate her freedom. In an interview with Daily Nation.
She said that she has not heard from her son for quite some time but she hopes one day the truth will come out so that what transpired on that fateful day is unknown. She also said that her son is a victim of circumstances.
She spoke at her home in Mbeme, Kisumu County.
‘’I have no reason to celebrate Arunga’s victory concerning the murder case against my son even if she is happy, “said Ms Wambita.The move of the court to free Arunga continues to elicit mixed reactions from different corners.
