The video of the song features images of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto.

The artist says that the people from Mount Kenya don't have anyone's debt.

Though not mentioning DP Ruto directly, it is clear to all and sundry just who is being talked about.

Kenyans have been weighing in on the video.

Here is what the residents of Garissa had to say:

"The artist who sang the song should be arrested and charged with spewing hate," Kamal Abad said.

"I am disgusted by the song. If the interpretation is what I am thinking, it's very unfortunate," Mumina Abdi said.

"We are a democracy. Let people air their views," Balo Mohamed said.

"Such songs have the potential of dividing people along ethnic lines. They should not be encouraged," Sukre Kule said.
