Already, members of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), which has fronted Imran Okoth, have accused the Jubilee Party of pouring loads of money to bribe voters.

Speaking earlier in the week, Suna East Member of Parliament claimed that Deputy President William Ruto's aide Farouk Kibet is among the persons involved in the business.

Speaking on Wednesday, Poghisio of the KANU party appeared to echo the allegations, but warned residents against allowing themselves to be divided and pushed into violence.

"Kibra people have never seen so much money. But let them know that it will be exhausted, be peaceful, the money should divide you (Watu wa Kibra hawajaona pesa vile wanaona sasa. Lakini wajue hii pesa itaisha, fanyeni mambo kwa amani, pesa isiwatenganishe)," he said.

He made the remarks on Radio Jambo's Mazungumzo Waziwazi on Wednesday night, also attended by among others, Mathare Member of Parliament Anthony Oluoch.

He similarly called for peace in the Ganda Member of County Assembly campaigns in Kilifi, only a day after a scuffle resulted in the death of one man.

The incident has since landed MP Aisha Jumwa in trouble, after it emerged that the death occurred after he stormed a meeting convened by ODM candidate Reuben Katana.

The Senator condemned the incident, stressing on the need for peace to prevail.

"In Malindi, people have always been knownnto he peaceful. I cant figure out who impirted this people who are now causing chaos (Pale Malindi watu hujulikana kama wangwana, sijui nani ameleta hawa wanaoleta fujo pale)," he added.
