Embattled Wilson Sossion has been reinstated Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Secretary General.
Sossion had earlier on been dropped of his duties before he sought legal redress over the manner in which he was sent packing.
A labour court in Nairobi on Monday announced his reinstated days after he was kicked out of office following six months battle to remove him from the position.
He is expected to remain in office pending hearing and determination of a case in which he seeks to continue leading the union.
The embattled Orange Democratice Movement (ODM) nominated Politician has also been allowed to access his bank account ahead of the court ruling
“…this Honourable court be pleased to issue and order of stay of the suspension of the Applicant by the Respondents directed against the Interested Party touching on the decision made on August 29, 2019 pending the hearing and determination of this suit,” read the judgement, as quoted by Citizen Digital.
Sossion had earlier maintained that he will not leave office under any circumstances.
He said that he is being fought by unknown forces from the government because of his stand on matters of national interest including the Competence Based Curriculum and salaries for teachers.
He has, however, maintained that he is not fighting President Uhuru Kenyatta’s big four agenda in the quest for better terms for teachers.
