In a tweet on Wednesday evening, the flamboyant lawyer opined that the head of state wants personal accountability to be his legacy.

"President Uhuru Kenyatta May have decided what legacy he wants to leave: PERSONAL ACCOUNTABILITY. It seems all those who abused the law & engaged in excesses in 2017 are being called to account. It may be the only legacy Kenya needs: General Elections is no time to be excited," he said.

Kipkorir was reacting after the State House Secretary of Digital Innovations and Diaspora Communications Dennis Itumbi was arrested by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI).

Itumbi works at the Deputy President William Ruto's office. His arrest was linked to a fake letter plotting to assassinate Ruto.

Police had earlier revealed that they had known the names of the people behind the fake letter but didn't reveal them. They also hinted that these people came from DP Ruto's office.

Itumbi has been criticized for spreading rumours, especially against those who oppose the government and this could be one way President Uhuru wants everyone to carry his own cross.
