Nominated Senator Isaac Mwaura and Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko have been engaging in a war of words since Thursday.
However, it got out of hand on Sunday when both leaders engaged one another full throttle.
The verbal exchange involved the paternity case pitting the late Kibra legislator Ken Okoth, who allegedly sired a child with one of the nurses in Sonko rescue team named Ann Thumbi Muthoni.
Thumbi, a nominated MCA in Nairobi, had sought a court injunction in a bid to compel the family of the deceased to recognize her child as the biological son to the late MP.
During the late Okoth's requiem mass last Thursday at Moi Girls High School in Kibra, Sonko disclosed the extramarital affair that the MP had with the MCA, leading to the lady giving birth to a baby boy.
“Ken had a son with one of the nominated Nairobi MCAs by the name Ann Thumbi alias Anita. The two love birds did not hide the fact that they shared a son. Ken recognised and was there for his son as demonstrated by pictures and various documented correspondences,” said Sonko as quoted by Citizen Digital.
In a rejoinder through his official Facebook page, Senator Mwaura asked Sonko to respect the family of the deceased and avoid trying to earn Bonga points out of the situation.
"It's good to respect families," posted the Senator.
However, his response did not go down well with the governor, who hit back, while maintaining that, he would continue earning the so-called Bonga points if what he was doing was considered the right thing.
"If by speaking the truth is what you are calling bonga points then let it be," Sonko noted.
But on Sunday, the Senator through his official Facebook page replied back to Sonko while referring to him as 'Nguruwe kurusha kinyezi' ('A pig dropping dung') as he insisted that the deceased widow to the late Okoth, Monica, deserved respect.
