The handshake team brings together President Uhuru Kenyatta and former Prime Minister who sealed a truce through a handshake early last year, bringing to an end their political rivalry.

Aladwa, a close ally of Raila, on Saturday insinuated that some plans are ongoing within the Raila-Uhuru quarter, which might victimize people opposed to their future political plans.

He predicted that the truce will bring forth some sort of leadership that Kenyans have been yearning for, likening it to white smoke at the end of the tunnel.

"Naona moshi nyeupe pale mbele, hii handshake ni ngumu, kuna watu watapangwa. Wale wanachukia handshake wataangalia kwa fence wengine wakiingia Statehouse," he said on Radio Jambo's Mazungumzo Waziwazi.

This translates to; "I can see white smoke ahead, the handshake is not a joke, people will end up victims. The haters of the handshake will watch from the fence as others enter the statehouse."

Aladwa warned those holding top state positions, specifically the Deputy President seat, against being too assured of their presidency as they are not immune to being shortchanged.

In an indirect caution to Ruto, he warned that the DP night soon find himself in a position where it will be impossible to realize his ambitions to succeed Uhuru.

"The handshake is there and will remain and you can be a Deputy President and still be shortchanged (Handshake iko na itakuwa, na unawezakuwa Deputy President na bado uchorewe)," he added.
