Harambee Stars captain Victor Wanyama is part of the Tottenham Hotspur’s Uefa Champions League squad.
Wanyama has been listed among the players to feature for the club during the competition after he alleged transfer to Belgium side Club Brugge flopped.
The competition is set to kick off on September 17 to December 11, 2019.
The event organisers had asked all the 32 clubs in the contest to publish names of their players before Wanyama was listed as well amid the alleged fallout with the Mauricio Pochettino.
The coach was keen on offloading Wanyama from the team before the deal hit a dead end.
He said that he was not impressed with his performance at the time he thought of offloading him.
“It's all about performance. Football is for today and tomorrow, not yesterday. You need always to show that you are there and deserve [to be there]. In the case of Victor, he suffered an injury and another player stepped up and took his place. We are in a team, we are not a charity," Pochettino said as reported by Goal.
Wanyama is among the midfielders the club has listed for the competition as it seeks to win the trophy after narrow loss to Liverpool in the Champions League final.
Other players listed in the midfield are Giovani Lo Celso Christian Eriksen, Erik Lamela, Ryan Sessegnon, Lucas Moura, Tanguy Ndombele, Dele Alli and Moussa Sissoko.
Wanyama was set to move to Club Brugge at a reported £13million transfer fee
