Embakasi East Member of Parliament Paul Ongili popularly known as Babu Owino has claimed that former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has never failed in any elections.
According to the first time lawmaker, Raila Odinga whom he refers to as 'Baba' has won all the elections the has taken part in.
''Baba has never conceded defeat because Baba has never lost any election,'' read Babu Owino's post on Facebook.
Owino's sentiments come after the Kibra by-election came to an end on Thursday night in which ODM candidate Bernard Okoth emerged the winner.
Moments later, his closest rival also a Jubilee candidate McDonald Mariga called him and conceded the defeat while urging Okoth to consider a lunch date.
Raila Odinga has unsuccessfully vied for the presidency for several years.
In 2007, he accused the then incumbent Emilio Mwai Kibaki of stealing the votes that saw him lose the elections. This led to post-election violence which hit most of the parts of the country.
Led by the late Koffi Annan, the mediation team urged the two rivals to agree on peace deal and lastly, Raila settled on a Prime Minister's post where he served until 2013.
In 2017 also, the ODM party leader accused Jubilee party headed by Uhuru Kenyatta of election malpractices that saw him also lose the elections. This saw part of perceived Raila's stronghold in the country engaging on demonstration.
However, a peace deal was struck on March 2018 which has been dubbed ' the handshake'.
