Diamond Platnumz has been accused of copy-pasting songs done by other artistes.
Tanzania's Classic FM presenter, Mwijaku, on Wednesday while commenting a post showing how much Diamond charges for his shows, said Diamond has been exaggerating figures, and he is not worth the amount considering his songs are copied.
It started when one media house, Dizzim Online, took to Instagram and said Diamond charges at least Tsh68.9 million for a single show in East Africa, and Tsh160.9 million outside East Africa, which is about Sh3,445,000 and Sh8,045,000 respectively.
Mwajiku said Diamond has never been creative in his music. He noted that if indeed Diamond earns that much from shows, he could not have forced Harmonize to pay him over Sh20 million to terminate a contract with his record label, Wasafi Classic Baby (WCB).
"Let us be realistic, for what kind of music that is copied from neighbours, music without creativity? Then when Tanzania Revenue Authority comes you start saying you don't have money, all my shows are within the country. 2020 is coming, keep on lying to people but not us who understand thus music. You could not go crazy to have Harmonize terminate the contract by paying Tsh431.3 million, let us not spoil our vacations. (Tuwe realistic jamani kwa mziki upi huuu wa kucopy kwa majirani usio kua na creativity? alafu TRA wakija ooh unajua mm sina hela hizo mie show zangu za home tu .! 2020 inakuja endeleeni kuwadanganya watu sio sisi waaasisi wa music hiii ! USINGE HANGAIKA NA MIL 431.3 kwa kuvunja mkataba wa harmo .! TUSIHARIBIANE VACATION ZETU PLS)," the presenter said
Interestingly, the same presenter on Wednesday ranked Diamond and Ali Kiba as best artists in East Africa.
He said that Harmonize's level had dropped due to his endless collabos with other artistes.
