Speaking on Saturday, Manyora observed that the DP will soon have to leave the government, and will do it before the 2022 general elections.

However, he said on his YouTube channel, that Ruto must carefully calculate his exit to assure himself of survival, though he added that, either way, he will be the casualty.

The analyst opined that if he decides to part ways with President Uhuru Kenyatta now, he'll have to approach the elections as a common citizen as he will lose some of his current privileges.

Consequently, he observed, Ruto will have to deal with life without the security detail and the trappings of power he is currently basking in, which could complicate things for him.

"If he leaves government between now and 2022 what are the repercussions? If you exit now than closer to 2022 you lose all the trappings of power, you lose all the security detail you have," said the commentator.

On the other hand, he observed, the DP will have to put up with the humiliation being sent his way by President Kenyatta's leadership should he delay to make an exit.

"To remain is to live through frustrations, it is to watch your lieutenants being isolated and frustrated then if you leave again you are again naked," Manyora said.
