The Garissa County leadership on Wednesday jetted into the United Kingdom ahead of meeting with residents living in the overseas county.
The first group to leave the country comprised of Governor Ali Korane and Senator Yussuf Haji.
The second group will include MPs Aden Duale and Yussuf Hassan.
Revealing their mission in the UK, Governor Korane, in a social media update, confirmed that they were planning to hold a series of meetings with Garissa community.
"Arrived in London, UK ahead of a series of meetings with a sizeable Garissa County community members here. We as a county are exploring the potential of diaspora investment to support development. I am accompanied by Sen. Haji and will be joined by @HonAdenDuale & @MPyusufhassan," posted Korane.
However, what remains unclear is the duration of the visit.
In recent days, Garissa county leadership has been reaching to its diaspora community in a bid aimed at marketing the county while seeking foreign investors.
Garissa is among the few counties in the country with a high number of residents working abroad.
