Political analyst and strategist Kipchumba Karori has taken issue with Youth Affairs Chief Administrative Secretary Rachel Shebesh's recent remarks about the Jubilee Party.
Speaking earlier in the week, Shebesh claimed President Uhuru Kenyatta was forced to endorse Jubilee Kibra parliamentary hopeful McDonald Mariga.
But Karori is now questioning the remarks, observing that they are portraying the Head of State in bad light, and insinuating that he is weak and able to be swayed.
Speaking on KTN's Inside Politics on Sunday, he stressed on the need for Shebesh to come out and explain what exactly she meant by the remarks.
"Does Shebesh mean Uhuru is a weak president or what is she communicating?" he posed, further questioning Shebesh's remarks on former Mungiki leader Maina Njenga.
He questioned the former Nairobi Woman Rep's claims that Kenyan women are now safe courtesy of Njenga's entry into the side of Kenyatta.
According to Karori, this can easily be translated to mean that Uhuru's government has been unable to secure her citizens, which, according to him, is not the case.
"Is this an admission from her that this government has failed to provide security to women? Which is an idea I don't buy because I live in this country and its a secure country," he added.
Shebesh is part of the Embrace Women group which has been drumming up support for the March 2018 truce between President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM chief Raila Odinga.
The team has been involved in exchanges with the pro-Ruto Inua Mama group, whose members now want Shebesh fired from her position for engaging in early politicking.
