Some politicians, from both the ruling Jubilee Party and opposition parties, have proposed changes, only nine years after the nation adopted a new set of laws.

Some are banking on the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) for the changes, only days after another bid, the Punguza Mizigo bill, was thrown out by the county assemblies.

Anyonka now says that Kenyans, especially the political class, will soon be after more changes even if they get them now, thanks to their insatiable nature.

He said the same would be the case even if the nation was to get the best constitution, since politicians never get satisfied with what is there, especially if it doesn't favour them.

"Even if we got the best constitution, even if we pray to God for one, it won't be useful. What needs to change is leaders' attitude (Hata tupate katiba nzuri, hata tumuombe Mungu katiba haitatusaidia. What needs to change ni attitude ya viongozi)," he said.

The commentator who doubles up as a lawyer made the remarks on Radio Maisha's Bunge La Maisha, Tuesday morning.

He said that the main problem with the current constitution is that it has not been fully implemented, and there should be no hurry to make contractions on it.

According to Anyonka, if were to he implemented fully, Kenyans would and up accepting the current laws as the best.

"This Constitution has not been implemented properly (Hii constitution haijakuwa implemented vizuri)," he added.

Punguza Mizigo sought to slash elective representation, while supporters of BBI claim that it will result in a larger executive for political exclusivity.
