Dr Edwin Abonyo, the widower of the late Bomet Governor Dr Joyce Laboso, has revealed that he has been approached to suggest a name from his family for a county job.
He made the revelation during the swearing-in of Dr Hillary Barchok who served as Bomet County Deputy Governor during Laboso's stint as the governor.
Dr Abonyo said that he would hold consultations and come up with a name or names which he said he would give to the Deputy President Dr William Ruto.
"I have been approached variously by many people that oh! oh! give somebody, give a family member. You know this area belongs to the Deputy President... I will consult. I will also write a kaname there, give the DP, " he said.
Dr Barchok, as the new governor, will now have the opportunity to dictate the direction in which the county administration will move.
He took the oath of office administered by a High Court judge Thursday morning.
Laboso lost her life after a long battle with cancer.
Dr Abonyo who is a contractor did not give any indication whether he would be willing to take a county job.
