Aukot has been drumming support for the bill which seeks to among others, slash the representation in parliament by more than half,  for a lighter tax burden on Kenyans.

He on Wednesday took the idea to the Members of the County Assembly of West Pokot, as he seeks to beat the minimum threshold of 24 assemblies to keep the bill realization alive.

"This morning we head to West Pokot County Assembly. #PunguzaMizigoBill2019 has arrived to lower the MIZIGO .It is here . It is the PEOPLE'S referendum proposal," he tweeted.

However, this comes only two weeks after area governor John Lonyangapuo poked holes into Aukot's bid, telling him to begin his transformation campaign from his own home.

Speaking on July 22, the county boss advised the ex-presidential hopeful to address the woes of his people in Turkana county before purporting to be salvaging the entire nation.

“I see this man running around the country with these papers to change the law. He has even forgotten where his home town Lowdar is situated, and I wonder what is wrong with him,” he said.
