Amani National Congress (ANC) Secretary General Barrack Muluka has questioned the sources of Deputy President William Ruto's resources, specifically his money.
Speaking on Wednesday, Muluka accused the DP of using his office to make himself richer, claiming the source of his money was suspicious.
"What working record does the deputy president have apart from filling his bags with money whose source remains unknown? (Naibu wa rais amekuwa na sifa gani ya kazi licha ya kujaza mabegi yake na hela tusizojua zimetoka wapi)," he said on Radio Jambo, Wednesday night.
He added that while the DP has been trying to dodge the question on the source of his money by branding himself a hustler, it is no longer a secret that he has a lot of money.
"Even by just looking, he is a man with lots of money (Hata ukimwangalia ni mtu aliye na hela nyingi sana),"Muluka said.
Among politicians who have been hitting the DP hard on the issue is Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga, who has accused him of carrying money in sacks.
But in response, Ruto has dared anyone with evidence that could incriminate him to report to the relevant investigative agencies.
