A section of Nyamira leaders has defended Interior Cabinet Secretary Dr Fred Matiang'i, accusing those criticising him of dishonesty.
Speaking to the media on Thursday at the assembly buildings, some Kisii MCAs accused Tanga Tanga faction of Jubilee of allegedly undermining the CS despite.
Led by Majority Leader Duke Masira, the MCAs asked leaders to give civil servants time to execute their roles.
"With all due respect, it's important that leaders respect civil servants. It's wrong to point fingers at Matiang'i, a minister who is concerned with the welfare of people," he said.
"We shall stand with the minister and possibly profile those antagonising him. Let's politick but respect civil servants," he added.
Nominated MCA Innocent Mose asked Deputy President William Ruto to tame his supporters, adding that they are slowly making the country ungovernable.
"I plead with the DP to speak to these people. Their endless rants could plunge the country into chaos. Time has come for them to go slow," he said.
Ruto allies criticised Matiang'i after chaos broke in Kibra last week on Thursday after a section of Jubilee MPs were attacked by rowdy youths.
They hit out at Matiang'i saying he has failed to arrest Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati who they purported engineered the chaos.
Present were George Morara (Kemera), Ezna Mokua (nominated), Charles Barongo (Bomwagamo) among others.
