In an interview on Citizen Television last Sunday, Murkomen claimed that Jubilee is on the verge of giving in to internal forces pushing for its collapse.

Speaking on the same platform on Monday, however, the party Secretary General Raphael Tuju rubbished the claims, relegating them to mere personal opinions.

Tuju maintained that the Elgeyo Marakwet Senator's remarks hold no water, terming them as sideshows and maintaining that the party is not facing the said crisis in the first place.

"Those are individual persons and are free to air their personal opinions.

The official position of the party is that we are not facing any crisis, everything is in order," said Tuju.

He also bashed Murkomen and the remainder of the team allied to Deputy President William Ruto that has alleged of a plan by forces close to President Uhuru Kenyatta to sabotage the DP's 2022 presidential bid.

According toTuju, the individuals are misleading the nation and the party supporters, adding that Jubilee is not interested in the 2022 succession debate as of now.

"Our current challenge is not about the 2022 succession but how to better the lives of our people. We are busy with ensuring that our youth are employed. We cannot go back to election issues less than a year after the previous poll," he added.
