A Nakuru court has set free Kabazi Member of County Assembly Peter Mbae on Sh200,000 bond in the case of incitement to violence, malicious damage of property and arson following chaos in Solai, Nakuru County.
The MCA and eight others had been arrested after the Wednesday incident when police engaged residents in running battles.
This followed the cancellation of a meeting between Solai Dam victims and Kenya Human Rights commission members.
Mr Mbae's eight co-accused were also released on the same term by court on Friday.
Nakuru principal magistrate Yvonne Khatambi also ordered the nine suspects to report every week to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations in Rongai.
Ms Khatambi further prohibited the MCA from holding public gatherings.
The accused are being represented by Nakuru-based High court lawyer Bernhard Kipkoech Ng’etich.
