Political analyst Herman Manyora has advised Deputy President William Ruto to eye the Prime Minister's position in the 2022 general elections.
Speaking during an interview with NTV on Monday, the University of Nairobi professor said that the handshake and Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) shifted the political gears in the nation.
He divulged that the second in command stands on a sandlike ground, adding that he has to make a choice or become weaker politically.
Manyora argued that Deputy President cannot withstand the union between President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM leader Raila Odinga.
He added that the BBI is unstoppable and that leaders opposed to the same are in for a rude shock when that time comes.
"BBI and handshake will succeed, those who oppose will be crashed by. It will be very wise for DP Ruto to eye the Prime Minister post," he said.
He reiterated that recent twist of events in the Mt Kenya region is a clear indication that plans are underway to change the leadership of this nation. He opined that the region will determine who will rise to power, adding that Ruto cannot ignore this fact.
"Even though there has been a little noise from the mountain. At the right time, everyone from Mt. Kenya will face Mt.Kenya," he said.
The BBI report will be presented to the President tomorrow before it is made public.
