Speaking Tuesday at Muli Farm during the issuance of tittle deeds to the squatters organised by the Agricultural Finance Corporation, Mutua said that the commander in chief of the armed forces has given his best as far as the war against graft is concerned.

The Second term governor asked other leaders to ensure that they support the President as he seeks to leave behind a legacy upon completing his tenure in office.

He asked the government to create a special fund to prevent the loss of proceeds from the exportation of oil.

He said that the government must put in place various measures to ensure there is no loss of billions in the oil exportation deal at the end of the day.

Mutua also noted that cases of graft had made the country to lag behind in terms of development.

“To prevent thieves of public resources plundering the proceeds of oil, I propose that the proceeds be channelled into a special kitty which will then be used for the purposes of infrastructural development,” he said, as quoted by Daily Nation.

He also said that he is the best candidate to succeed President Kenyatta when he leaves office in 2022
