Gatundu South Member of Parliament Moses Kuria has made a new year resolution to take a break from alcohol in 2020.
In a post at the dawn of the new year, the vocal politician also announced he was also taking a break from social media apart from the WhatsApp platform.
Kuria who is very active on Facebook and Twitter, declared he was deactivating all his social media accounts, noting he will resume posting after a year.
"Happy New Year 2020 good people. For those who thought they know me: 1. I am deactivating my social media accounts (Except WhatsApp) throughout 2020. See you in 2021. This is my last post of the year. 2. I am off alcohol throughout the year 2020. 3. Tukutane kwa ground (Let's meet on the ground)," he posted on Twitter.
In 2019, Kuria was very active politically and kicked the year on a high note by lecturing President Uhuru Kenyatta for allegedly neglecting Mt Kenya region despite getting overwhelming support in the 2017 polls.
In February, during an exclusive interview on a local radio station, he announced his bid for presidency in 2022 and vowed he will not back down for anyone.
Lately, however, it appears Kuria could have abandoned his ambition for the top seat after he joined Deputy President William Ruto's camp and became one of the fiercest defender of the DP from Kieleweke onslaught.
