When two video resurfaced online of a man struggling to retrieve money from his trousers and another one of bending to welcome DP William Ruto to a function, many people may have struggled to identify him.
But no doubt, this was Ainabkoi MP William Chepkut, a former PA to powerful minister during Daniel Moi's regime, Nicholas Biwott.
Having lost to former parliament Justice and Legal Committee chair Samuel Chepkong'a, Chepkut was equally unlucky in Jubilee primaries despite beating his opponent.
And now running as an independent, his comic may have played part in his victory given his approach to issues.
During Biwott's burial in July last year, he sent President Uhuru Kenyatta into laughter when he revealed what Biwott had told him before dying.
“When he landed from abroad (where Biwott had sought treatment), he called me personally, and asked me: 'Where are you?' I told him I was in Munyaka with Councillor Mbare.
"He talked to him and told him, 'pea President Uhuru Kenyatta kura na huyo kijana yangu Chepkut peeni yeye kura'. Your excellency, you know if I don’t reveal this, God will curse me,” he told mourners during Biwott’s funeral.
And in 1991, a simple act of smashing a TV set in Biwott's presence at Kenya Poly could see the two getting on well with each other years later.
During his campaigns, despite owning fleets of vehicles, he'd use motorbikes or at times walk on foot.
