The two were seen embracing each other before engaging in the talks that lasted for a couple of minutes. It was the first time Mrs Kenyatta was meeting the former president in seven months.

"Well pleased to have held talks with President @BarackObama on the sidelines of the 19th World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) Global Summit in Seville, Spain," she tweeted.

According to State House, President Obama lauded Margaret Kenyatta for attending the event, stating that her presence at the summit was a manifestation of Kenya's commitment towards promotion of tourism and travel across the world.
