Veteran politician Koigi Wa Wamwere has faulted Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga, over his claims that he is fully involved in the fight against corruption.
In an interview with Citizen TV on Friday, Raila said his interest in the fight against graft, is one of the major reasons behind his union with President Uhuru Kenyatta in March 2018.
Speaking on Saturday, Koigi threw a jab at the former Prime Minister, stating that nothing has been done towards crushing the menace, given that more scandals are reported almost two years later.
According to the former Subukia Member of Parliament, this is proof enough that there is nothing like an ongoing serious campaign to eradicate graft in the country.
"No one has a right to claim they are fighting corruption as each day we are learning about a new case. (Hakuna mtu ako na haki ya kusema anapigana na ufisadi kwa sababu kila siku tunasikia kesi mpya)," he said on Saturday.
Wamwere spoke on Radio Sauti Ya Mwananchi's Cheche, where he also pointed out that so far, nobody has been held responsible, among many people who have been implicated.
"Until now, there are no convicts so don't be fooled that anything is being done. (Hadi sasa hakuna wafungwa na usidanganywe eti kuna chochote kinafanywa)," he added.
In the interview at his Opoda Farm in Bondo, Siaya County, the former Prime Minister said if his role in the fight will be translated as him joining the Jubilee Party, then so be it.
