Former Kakamega Senator Dr Boni Khalwale has hailed the decision by former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama to join Deputy President William Ruto's camp.
Dr Ruto has been on a charm offensive to gather more political heavyweights as he prepares for 2022 showdown in the race to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.
On his Twitter, Khalwale identified himself, Muthama and Dr David Ndii as people who propelled NASA in 2017 polls where they supported Raila Odinga.
"Pap! The wheel has now turned full cycle. @nduyamuthama it is, and before him was @DavidNdii who had been preceded by Dr Boni Khalwale," he said.
"Three men who were right at the heart of the NASA nerve centre. Lisemwalo lipo, na ka halipo linjiani laja!" added Khalwale in his latest jab against the opposition.
Muthama is said to have announced his decision to back Deputy President William Ruto on Wednesday, adding that he was ready to resuscitate his career according to Citizen TV.
The two championed for Raila Odinga presidency, who was deputised by former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka.
Incidentally, Muthama's announcement comes a day after DP William Ruto was pictured with Mr Musyoka at Africa-Caribbean conference in Nairobi.
Dr Ruto is keen to take over from Uhuru. Recently, Kalonzo's team accused ODM of isolating him by working with Ukambani governors under Alfred Mutua of Machakos.
