Citizen TV’s Director of Strategy and Innovation Linus Kaikai has said the organisers of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI) report launch settled on Suna East MP Junet Mohammed as the Master of Ceremony (MC) due to his ability ‘to go under the skin of political opponents’.
While inviting the leader of Majority in the Senate Kipchumba Murkomen to speak during the report’s launch at the Bomas of Kenya on Wednesday, Junet said Jubilee leaders can settle their issues later, adding that speakers should focus on BBI.
“Junet in my view was not picked by accident. The organizers of the event were looking for a perfect irritant, somebody who can go under the skin of political opponents,” said Kaikai during Citizen TV's News Gang show on Thursday.
“And if you look at how be brought in Murkomen to the stage, he poked him in a very sharp way saying that problems in Jubilee can be discussed later and that got Murkomen worked up,” he added.
Murkomen who doubles up as Elgeyo Marakwet Senator went on to say that the BBI process was skewed towards leaving out leaders with divergent views.
