Disney revealed on Saturday night that the 'Avengers: Endgame' will overtake 'Avatar' to be the best selling film ever during its 13th weekend of the premier.
'Avatar' which is a science fiction film that was realized by James Cameron had been holding the spot of the top-grossing film for a period of 10 years before the latest avengers film which stars Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans overtook it.
The chief creative officer of The Walt Disney Studios Alan Horn appreciated the various stakeholders who supported the film 'Avengers: Endgame' and consequently made to become the highest-grossing film.
"A huge congratulations to the Marvel Studios and Walt Disney Studios teams, and thank you to the fans around the world who lifted 'Avengers: Endgame' to these historic heights,"Alarn Horn stated.
Alarn also acknowledged the contribution of 'Avatar' in the film industry.
"Even with the passage of a decade, the impact of James Cameron's 'Avatar' remains as powerful as ever," Horn stated.
The Avengers: Endgame earned $1.2 billion at the worldwide box office during its global opening with Sh100 billion of it being made within the first five days. It is also indicated that the latest avengers film has so far made Sh278.9 billion globally.
