A section of local leaders in from Gusii region have reacted differently following the second meeting held on Tuesday where elected leaders from Gusii community were in attendance.
The leaders led by a Jubilee youth leader Isaac Motari, said the meeting should be of help to members of the community.
"I'm of the opinion that the meeting being held by elected leaders will help in pushing development in the region but, not benefiting few individuals who are after filling their stomachs," he noted.
The vocal leader challenged local leaders to team up and support elected politicians to serve the electorates without blame-game.
"We don't want to hear excuses in 2022 where elected leaders will start blaming others for their under performance," said Motari.
Thomas Nyamote, a former MCA hopeful in Kisii County dismissed the meeting saying it won't benefit common community members.
"The meeting is being attended by who is who. No development will be pushed for the community to benefit because those attending the so called unity meeting have a hidden agenda to achieve in 2022 general elections," said Nyamote.
Furious Nyamote wondered why the leaders should continue wasting time holding meetings yet there is no tangible development in the entire Gusii region.
