Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko on Tuesday spoke about the arrest of activist Mildred Atty Owiso.
In a long post on Facebook, Sonko revealed how Atty and her gang wanted to extort money from him.
On Saturday, Atty through a Facebook page under the name BUYERS BEWARE, attacked the city boss over the June 2017 to June 2018 audit report.
After attacking Sonko, Atty was arrested on Sunday.
Sonko clarified that he was not behind her arrest, noting that she was apprehended on child trafficking claims together with her husband Joram Odhiambo Liech.
At the time of their arrest, two young ladies were rescued from their home. They had been held until their parents paid Sh20,000 each.
The two, 18-year-old and 19-year-old were to be flown to Lebanon for employment as house helps.
Several passports were recovered in their house belonging to different people.
The Nairobi city boss revealed that his case with Atty is not over yet saying he will file a criminal case against her and her husband for defamation further stating that they are extortionists.
