Machakos governor Dr Alfred Mutua on Saturday hosted his Ukambani counterparts in his office for the first South Eastern Kenya Economic Bloc (SEKEB) agreement meeting.
The governors, Charity Ngilu of Kitui, Kivutha Kibwana (Makueni) and Mutua had earlier agreed to work together under the SEKEB for development of Ukambani region in a past meeting.
"Arrival of the SEKEB governors for the first joint Machakos, Kitui and Makueni cabinet and SEKEB agreement approval meeting #SEKEBagreement," Mutua posted on Facebook.
A section of Facebook users applauded the move by the three Ukambani governors. They expressed their happiness saying that unity was the only thing that could help Ukambani.
