A section of Members of Machakos county assembly have urged Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, the three Ukambani governors and other leaders from the region to sit and have talks about the Building Bridges Initiative.
The MCA's led by Kangundo West representative Titus Ikusya said that there is a need for the leaders who support the BBI to come up with a calendar of events to popularize the initiative.
Kaloki intimated that the objective of improving the lives of all residents cannot be achieved if there is dignity among political leaders.
"Over the years we have seen leaders from the region divided on ideas meant to benefit the region and due to that we have been seen as a community that has no direction," said Kaloki.
"There are several planned meetings on BBI we would like to call for the conveyors to first stop and plan for a grand meeting that will bring together all the Kamba leaders so that we can speak in one voice on the BBI," added Kaloki.
Kaloki's statement was seconded by Tala ward member of county assembly Alex Kamitu who said that it was time the leaders put their differences aside and reasoned together.
"With unity, there is nothing we can't achieve as a community," said Kamitu.
