Senate majority leader Kipchumba Murkomen has revealed that Kenya must go to referendum.
While speaking at Mama Ngina waterfall on Saturday, Murkomen said that since Kenyans have accepted the idea of introduction of Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister post, then there is no one who can object Kenyans from going to a referendum.
Elgeyo Marakwet County senator also spoke of leaders complaining in rallies now and then of how there is no job in the country, by questioning them on what they are doing in order to fight lack of jobs in the country.
"Since Uhuru, Moses Kuria and Waiguru who are our brothers from the other region have now accepted the formation of Prime Minister position, there is nothing to hinder Kenya from having a prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister and other leaders. It's a must we go to a referendum so that Kenyans can give themselves leaders that can join them together"
Lazima twende referendum, ndo wajipatie viongozi wambao wanataka kuwaunganisha pamoja] Murkomen said.
He urged all leaders to make sure that they create a platform that will enable people to be employed and get to that point where Kenya will be like the United States of America.
Murkomen revealed that in the USA, rallies are held at night since no one can get time to attend them during the day since a good number of them have got jobs.
