Kisii County Governor James Ongwae on Thursday launched a five-bed Renal Unit, a second theatre and a water supply system at Nyamache Sub County hospital.
Speaking during the launch, the county boss reiterated that his government is committed to boosting the provision of health services.
"Patients seeking medical care at the facility will continue enjoying quality services. Cleanness should be maintained because there will be a plenty supply of water," said the governor.

Ongwae called on health workers at the facility to maintain high levels of integrity while serving locals.
He warned that rogue and lazy health workers will be sacked.
"My government will not continue paying salaries to lazy medics. There are other qualified people out there who want jobs. Any medical worker found sleeping on the job will be sent home," he noted.

"Community health strategy seeks to enhance community access to health care in order to improve productivity and thus reduce poverty, hunger and child and maternal deaths," he added.
