Speaking during her memorial service in Bomet County, Obonyo said that he recalls missing Uhuru’s call.

Obonyo, who described his late wife as a pillar of his strength, said that he was so much stressed when he missed a call by the head of state.

He said that he had missed three of his calls at night, which forced him to reach out to one of the insiders in State House to link him to President Uhuru.

“Mr. President, you called me one time, I missed your call and I got stressed; I found 3 missed calls at night…I did not know what to do,” he said.

He also said that Laboso was incorruptible. Obonyo said that he is a contractor but he has never be given any contract by the county government.

“I am a contractor but I never picked a job to do here in Bomet County. That’s who we are, we believe that God has given us enough to keep going, he said.

He also recounted how the wife struggle with cancer following diagnosis.
