Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen is among the most influential Kalenjin politicians enjoying massive support from the entire North Rift region.
He is a leader who has had a fair share of both the highs and lows.
The vocal Senator is also undoubtedly one of the highly educated politicians with colourful Curriculum Vitae (CV).
It can now be revealed that Senator Murkomen holds a PhD in law from the American University, Washington College of Law after graduating in May 2017.
The Senate leader of majority revealed and confirmed his highest academic award in his official Facebook page last year where he posted several photos marking the achievement.
"My graduation at the American University, Washington College of Law went well to the glory of God and the progress of mankind. Like I have done in the last few years, I will continue with my efforts to promote education in my county and country as a powerful agent for human progress," Senator Murkomen revealed in the Facebook post.
Murkomen has several other academic degrees from the University of Pretoria, South Africa and the University of Nairobi for Masters and Bachelors respectively.
