This comes amid a known rivalry between the DP and KANU boss Gideon Moi, an enmity emanating from both leader's keenness on leading the Rift Valley political zone.

The party Secretary General Nick Salat now says that they are ready to battle the DP politically at any time and using, with an intention of kicking him out of power.

In a Facebook statement Saturday, Salat warned the DP of a looming combat, cautioning him to prepare for a defeat at the end of it.

"We are very ready to set a full blown war with William Ruto in Rift Valley region. We will battle him in all corners, East and West, North and South, on land and in the sea. We have had enough of his leadership and its time to say enough is enough," said Salat.

The enmity between the two leaders has been blamed for their coldness towards each other, and have severally been seen expressing political hatred in public.

The latest scenario was during Gideon's elder brother Jonathan Moi's funeral service in Kabarak, where each party expressed a bad attitude towards the other.

KANU has also been seen to lean towards a union of Jubilee Party members opposed to the DP under the Kieleweke tag, a union that also brings on board opposition lawmakers.
