Political analyst Ambrose Weda has cautioned that Wiper Democratic Movement (WDM) party leader Kalonzo Musyoka risks never realizing his presidential dream.
The former Vice President has since hinted that he might take a shot at the top seat in 2022 General Elections.
However, Weda claims that the Ukambani political kingpin is more of a weak candidate who is largely depending on others to help him realize his bid, making the dream unrealistic.
He argues that Kalonzo has demonstrated his inability to get into the ring and fight for the position and is instead hoping that other national leaders will deliver the seat to him.
"Kalonzo has not given up his presidential dream, his only problem is that he is expecting to be given the seat. That is why he might never become a President," Weda said.
Weda who doubles up as an advocate of the High Court was speaking on KBC English Service's The Big Conversation show on Wednesday morning.
He termed the same as the reason why Kalonzo twice backed opposition leader Raila Odinga for the presidency, hoping that the former Premier would return the favor.
Weda said the Wiper leader was banking on Raila's political powers, hoping that he would hand over the power to him after exiting and is now dancing to President Uhuru Kenyatta's tune with similar hopes.
However, he observed that Kalonzo remains the Ukambani kingpin, rubbishing the growing rebellion in the region.
He laughed off the likes of Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua who has been firing unending shots at Kalonzo, terming him an opportunist trying to maximize on the latter's woes.
"Mutua is just trying to use Kalonzo's mistakes to bury him, but Kalonzo's leadership in Ukambani remains intact," Weda said.
