Speaking on Milele FM on Tuesday evening, she said Khalwale is easy to access, and talk to at the moment, adding that the vocal politician should maintain the same accessibility if elected governor.

"In 2022, should you become governor, the way you come here and we laugh with you, don't have someone who will be picking calls on your behalf, because we are used to calling you directly (Ukiwa governor 2022, hivi vile unakujanga hapa tunacheka na wewe, sasa usiwe na mtu ndio anashika simu yako juu tunakupigianga simu direct),"she said

Khalwale made a stab at the Kakamega gubernatorial seat in 2017 but lost to the incumbent Wycliffe Oparanya.

In 2022, Oparanya will have finished his second term, and can't run for another term, as the Constitution does not allow him to do so.

Early this year, Khalwale joined the governing Jubilee party, and threw his weight behind Deputy President William Ruto's 2022 presidential bid.
