Kapseret Member of Parliament Oscar Sudi has angrily reacted to the recent remarks in which Jubilee part Vice Chairman David Murathe asked Deputy President William Ruto to retire together with President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2022.
In a post on his official Facebook page, Sudi, a close ally of DP Ruto termed Murathe as "an all-time Kenya's political whore".
“David Murathe is an all-time Kenya's political whore; his history in politics is similar to that of a prostitute who began her prostitution from leafy suburbs of Hurlingham then to City Centre's Koinange Street and finally she is now ending her career in River Road and its environs. This is a man who is best known in politics of deceit," said Sudi in the post.
“The great people of Mt. Kenya have their own elected leaders who can speak on behalf of its people and Murathe is not even close to that calibre of leaders. Murathe joins the list of the lazy and drunk who have panicked and are trying to invest in politics of division and animosity contrary to what Dr William Ruto believes in,” he added.
Murathe, a close confidant of Uhuru who was speaking during a Maragoli cultural festival in Vihiga County on Sunday was quoted by the Daily Nation saying; “If you (Ruto) have led with Uhuru for two terms, what else do you want. We don't know someone who will guard us but we know someone who will break us. We will take someone who will safeguard Mt Kenya."
