Interior CS Fred Matiang'i has sent stern warning to insurance companies across the country.
Matiang'i said the government will not relent in its move to enforce stringent measures aimed at restoring order in the Public Service vehicles' Industry.
He said "Michuki" rules are not aimed at pushing investors in PSV sector out of the industry but to help them maximize profits alongside saving lives.
“We must address this once and for all, we cannot continue losing young people on the roads," Matiang’i said.
Matiang’i spoke during a fundraiser at California SDA Church in Nakuru County on Saturday.
He said insurance companies will also be under close watch of his ministry.
Matiang'i warned that companies which issue fake covers will be dealt with accordingly.
He noted that the multi agency approach by the enforcement agencies will be extra vigilant especially during and after the festive season.
Matiang'i said members of the public also have a role to play in ensuring that they are safe at all times.
He said the public should report errant PSV drivers to relevant authorities.
The CS urged the locals to pray for the country in a bid of making national unity successful.
Matiang'i asked parents to take good care of their children especially during the festive season.
