The former Deputy Prime Minister had been under criticism from allies of Raila over his recent claims they Odinga was forced into his truce with President Uhuru Kenyatta by the West.

But speaking on KBC English Service on Wednesday, Nduko observed that the same was the wrong step to take, observing that Mudavadi has made himself less of a leader.

He observed that leadership calls for secrecy, and the fact that Mudavadi opted to expose the two, in the event that his claims are true, then he has failed the test.

"For me I think Mudavadi isn't a leader. Leadership calls for confidence and secrecy. Raila speaks for NASA and even took Mudavadi and Kalonzo to Uhuru after the truce," he said.

NASA (National Super Alliance) alliance was a 2017 general election union of the ODM, ANC, Kalonzo Musyoka's Wiper party and Moses Wetangula's Ford Kenya party.

Nduko, also a security expert, faulted Mudavadi's claims that the truce was more about the leaders avoiding visa cancellation as had been threatened by the white countries.

According to Nduko, even if the same was the case, the nation has benefitted more, which justifies what the two national leaders did in March 2018.

"It might have been personal but the country has benefitted more, there is now peace in the country," he added, in an interview on the Big Conversation Show.

Mudavadi's remarks have been met with similar attacka from Raila's quarters, with ODM Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna leading the way in hitting back.
