Makueni Governor Kivutha Kibwana has reiterated his stand on the 2022 Presidential race.
Speaking moments after hosting Amani National Congress (ANC) leader Musalia Mudavadi at his backyard, Kibwana said that he has what it takes to ascend to power in 2022.
The county affirmed that he will not change his tune as far as the race for the Presidency is concerned. Musalia said that Kibwana has proven beyond doubt that he can make a good leader.
He hailed his performance scoreboard about inspecting a series of projects at his backyard on Friday.
“I congratulate Makueni Governor Prof Kibwana for the development projects initiated. His effort embellishes the vision we had as a Ministry of Local Government when we laid down the plans for devolution. Makueni serves as a good destination to benchmark the fruits of devolution,” he said.
On his part, Kibwana thanked Mudavadi for sparing his time to tour the region. He said that the relationship he shares with Musalia is special, adding that he is proud to be associated with him.
He further asked Kenyans to back devolution amid the stalemate between Senators and MPs on Division of revenue bill 2019.
“I wish to thank @MusaliaMudavadi for choosing to come and see the small steps we're making towards actualization of Devolution. Devolution is Kenya's life line. If we strangle devolution we strangle Kenya,” he said.
