It will take sometime before a revolution is realised in Kenya, Raila Odinga's spokesman Dennis Onyango has claimed.
For years now, Kenyans have been yearning for revolution, but tribal politics and discrimination has hindered the calls for a total overhaul.
While noting that the revolution will eventually come, Onyango notes that it will take several stages for this to be realised.
"Even as we shout revolution, change in Kenya will come in slow, evolutionary steps. Those shouting revolution should not be discouraged. They serve to hasten evolution," he said on Friday.
For decades, Raila has stood out as a revolutionary and is credited for embracing pluralism in Kenya in the 90s when Kenya was under single-party rule.
Onyango had tagged Director of Public Prosecutions Noordin Haji over the Appeals Court ruling that barred governors facing graft charges from stepping in their offices.
The DPP hailed the ruling by Justice Jamila Mohammed, who upheld an earlier ruling by High Court Judge Mumbi Ngugi.
"In discharging our constitutional mandate, the ODPP reiterates its commitment to play its part, however modestly in ensuring that what is in the public interest is upheld," he added.
