Education Cabinet Secretary Prof George Magoha on Wednesday afternoon released the 2019 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exam results.
Speaking during the releasing of the results, Magoha said there is general improvement in the performance of this year's candidates as compared to last year.
A total of 699,745 candidates sat this year’s KCSE exam.
Here are the top candidates and the schools they sat their exams from;
1. Buluma Tony with a performance index of 87.159 from Kapsabet Boys’ High School
2. Barasa Njeri with a performance index of 87.087 from the Kenya High School
3. Abuge David with a performance index of 87.080 from Kapsabet Boys’ High School
4. Anthony Owuor with a performance index of 87.00 from Maseno School.
5. Mathuri Natasha with a performance index of 86.961 from the Kenya High School
6. Kizito Ezra with a performance index of 86.960 from Moi High School Kabarak
7. Long’ali Chelang’at who had a performance index of 86.924 was from Alliance Girls’ High School
8. Ndari Njoki of the Kenya High School with a performance index of 86.914.
9. Siele Chelang’at of Moi Forces Academy, Lanet who had a performance index of 86.900.
10. Laura Chelang’at Ruto of St Brigid Kiminini, who scored 86.53.
