Kenyan artiste Judith Nyambura Mwangi popularly known as Avril was left amazed after a fan criticised her style of music.
The fan noted that is was high time Avril retired from music and focused on raising her family.
In a short interview aired on Ebru TV, the fan argued that Avril should come up with new ideas as her style of music has remained the same over the years.
Citing her latest single 'Kitoko' in which Avril features Congo's L Rice, the fan opined that the audio lacked content, adding that the video's visuals were also off.
The fan was, however, unaware that Avril had been standing behind him the entire time.
The artist could be seen stunned as the fan argued that she should leave the music industry for upcoming artists as her prime days were over.
Avril took to Instagram where she posted the video of the interview and tagged her producers J Blessing (who produced the video) and Saint P (who pronounced the audio.) "Ka hi #Sikuhate basi ni nini? Na ati kuna youngin mahali anataka kuwa msanii, uko sure uko ready? @saintpkenya huyu msee amesema yeye ni audio producer na #Kitoko iko down. @jibrilblessing visuals ziko chini, sikuwa na follow instructions on set. Ngai," posted Avril.
The video has since elicited mixed reactions among her fans and a section of musicians in the country.
Khaligraph Jones asked why some people must be mean, while Noti Flow reiterated the fans remarks noting it was time for Avril to exit the music scene.
