Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has said he has no problem with Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka.
Speaking during an exclusive interview with KTN on Wednesday, Mutua said he intends to have a reunion with Kalonzo.
“We want unity, I am actually waiting for a handshake with Kalonzo Musyoka. We will never always agree but our people come first, I have always been ready,” Mutua said.
The governor said he has always had issues with the Wiper's policies and not Kalonzo as a person.
“I don’t have a problem with Kalonzo Musyoka, I don’t have a problem with Wiper Party, I think they have a problem with," Mutua said.
Mutua has been at loggerheads with Kalonzo since he ditched Wiper party for his newly formed Maendeleo Chap Chap political outfit.
He accused the former Vice President and his allies of frustrating him after he was elected the Machakos governor in 2013.
The governor has expressed interest in the nation’s top seat amid election petition by former Kathiani MP Wavinya Ndeti against his August 8, 2017's victory.
He has maintained that he has what it takes to be the next Kenyan president.
Mutua believes he is the right man to develop this nation if elected the president when that time comes.
