The contractor of the Arror-Kimwarer dam project has issued a statement after Treasury Minister Henry Rotich and his Principal Secretary were released on Sh.15 million cash bail each.

The firm, CMC di Ravenna, has denied engaging in dubious deals that saw the nation loss funds in the project estimated to cost Sh. 46 billion.

In a statement released to the media houses, the firm said that all the procedures as far as procurement and contracting were conducted in accordance with the law of the land. 

The company also said that is it ready to cooperate with the Kenyan government to ensure no coin is lost through the project it is overseeing.

“The company is already working with the Kenyan judicial authority to settle the matter as soon as possible,” read part of the statement, as quoted by Citizen Digital.

Haji has faulted the company for not cooperating with his side as he sought to arrest the suspects in the scandal. 

Treasury Minister Henry Rotich and Thugge were released Sh15million bail each. 

The accused were also asked to deposit their passports and other travel documents with the court.

CMC has insisted that it was involved in any of the matters being probed, adding that it is ready to shed more light on the matter.
